Bus only lane on wilshire

i know this isnt a bike petition, but where there are diamond lanes, there are "bikes ok" signs. please consider signing and pass it around!

while i'm usually a supporter of calpirg, i can't endorse this. as a cyclist, getting around cars in the right lane is easier than getting around buses in the right lane. those idiots who thought buses and cars could share the same roadway (and hence, got rid of the rail lines in the early 1900's) were ridiculously short-sighted. also, i doubt that, if passed, this will have any benefit in reducing traffic.

if the buses are moving at 25 miles an hour while the cars are going 10, you won't have to get around them. plus, it's not going to put any more buses on the road unless people start leaving their cars at home.
however if you're right, if it doesnt get anyone out of their cars, then you still have a wide-open lane to ride your bike, and no more buses to pass than there are today.

Good idea.
I'd rather deal with a handful of professional drivers that are required to pass safely and can be more readily heal accountable than the legions of douchey drivers that flaunt their ignorance of the law by acting childish and aggressive toward bikes in the traffic lane.
If they repaved the right lane of wilshire that alone, would be justification for this proposal.
