Anyone in jail right now???

Holy fucking shit, I just remembered this:

8:30am this (Friday) morning, I get a call on my cell. Someone is dialing my call-forwarding number (310 nine 8 four - one four 3 4) and I hear a message about a toll-free call being placed from the LA County jail system and if I'd like to accept those calls I need to call an 800 number and tell them to do start accepting those. So of course I think it's a rider I know in trouble (my other friends don't get into trouble so much). I call the 800 number but can't get through to an operator because the call center probably hasn't opened yet, so I fall back asleep.

I totally forget about that for the rest of the day. I just remembered right now. I feel like an idiot. CHECK ON YOUR PEEPS AND MAKE SURE EVERYONE'S ALRIGHT.

 make sure it wasnt a scam.... some 800 numbers trick you into making calls that cost big bucks.

someone i know was in jail about a month ago and i got the same call.
it says you need to call and make an account and pay in order to recieve calls from the county jail but i dont think it works on cell phones...
