I say leave it. Stick your nose in there and breath the stench of all the miles that you rode in those shoes and relish it. Stink is a badge of honor, I say.

That's like saying YAAA I wanna stick my nose in my own asshole so I can breathe the stench of all the craps I've taken and relish it because stink is a badge of honor.
Dump foot powder in the shoes, then scrub the shit out of them, leave them outside to air for a long while. Then start wearing socks, never re-use socks. Eventually they might start to smell less, but they are never going to smell right again.
umm, no actually its not. It's about thinking of all the miles that are in those shoes and being proud of all the rides you did that put that stink there. duh moron.
- new pair of shoes
- new pairs of socks
- wash your feet when you take them out of the said shoes
- never rewear socks, EVER
- everytime you put your shoes on, a new pair of socks goes on
- never walk around in socks and then put on your shoes
- when your shoes are getting dirty, clean them with a toothbrush and soap
- for added smelliness of the nicest kind: drier sheet in the tips of teh toes when you are done using them
the way your shoes look after clipping and unclipping and dragging them on the LA streets and having someone spill beer or puke on them, the soles after fred flinstoning your tires, etc. - this epic wear and tear will get you laid and make you proud of all the miles you have put on your bike.
smelly feet and shoes.. might not get you laid so good or even at all..
Add 1 part bleach to 9 parts water (It's a little extreme, but this is guaranteed to kill any and all microbes living in your shoes). Soak shoes in it for ten minutes. Rinse for another ten minutes in plain water. Remove insoles and air dry (best to do this on a hot, dry day...like today). Consider replacing the insoles entirely.
Once the shoes are dry, dust well with antifungal powder to keep them nice and happy-smelling. In the future, whenever possible dry the shoes under a fan as soon as you take them off.
