if anybody still rides road bikes out there, and likes downtube shifters here is your dream bike.
http://picasaweb.google.com/quanmunist/AlessandroRacingBike#
53 cm top tube, 31 inch standover height.
1 of less than a 1000.
campagnolo omega wheelset
shimano 600 ultegra components
modolo intern brakes
weight: 20 pounds. :)
just tuned, overhauled, ready to ride.
To those thinking it's not a Guerciotti, I have the e-mails from Alessandro Guerciotti to prove it.

What is the price range on those? I have a 57 - 58 cm with full campy that is available.

guerciotti is one of the high end bike brands out there.
The Guerciotti family, Paolo, Alessandro are italian bike racers. They design/make their bikes.

just an aside here, because the topic is high end classic steel:
The masi is broken. Sad but true.
The frame has a click that keeps getting worse. Shit.

reminds me of my paletti. frame looks great... impeccable really. tires and rim's i'd replace... nice bike... but I think it's a bit too pricey.
