Get Home SAFE?!

I think we all try and watch out for each other in our own ways. Maybe check up on a few close friends to make sure their ride home was safe or however you go about your friendly duty. But lately when I come home it has been bugging me that I just wonder about all the other ridazz going on their solo journey home. I realize that what I am about to suggest could potentially turn into a never ending thread, but here it goes. Can we let each other know that we got home safely?
sO I got home safely, did you?

I don't know, I'm still at work...
...and have been since Friday morning! I'll be riding home in a few minutes but it's only 1/2 mile.

They say most accidents happen within 5 miles from your home.
1. I'm never going to your house.
or
2. I'm never leaving my house again.
Pick whichever one suits you.

Thanks for asking!
I made it home safely after visiting the century last night and dropping out at Santa Anita.
Great night for a ride! Great bunch of people on that ride!

Tern century riders all made it safely to Ridge Way (as far as I know). Thanks for joining us, Alice!

I didn't end up having to make a solo ride (nice to meet you, Eric Hair), but I got home safely. Glad to hear you did too, Andrea. And everyone else as well.

On the tern century I decided to quit because of cramps at the top of san gabriel dam. After everyone left, and laying down for 15 minutes ... I called my ride again and told him to head home cause I'm finishing with the cramps. My friend pointed out how nuts I sounded but agreed to text me the rest of the century directions and wished me luck. 5 maps, 2 major quad cramps, 2 close calls, and 1 crash later (almost went over the guard rail when I hit the stairs by arroyo blvd and colorado blvd) I made it back to echo park lake around 11:07pm. I got home determined, reliant, and above all safe. Thanks for providing this ride Creative thing, I learned a good amount about my tolerance for failure.
Everybody stay safe, be well.

Z,
Thanks for this post. Good to have confirmation you made it home in one piece. You only finished a hour behind us.

Congrats ZeroKevin,
The cramps are almost certainly caused by lack of electrolytes, dehydration and B12 deficiency. Next time, when you think you've eaten enough bananas, water and gatorade, convince yourself that you need to eat/drink even more. And its best to eat/drink constantly throughout the ride and not just at the breaks. Your body blood sugar and digestive system will swing too wildly. You want to keep a nice steady balance on long rides.

Did y'all get home alright?
Did y'all get tucked into bed my yo' mommy real tight?
Whilst asleep, did y'all happen to turn on yo' night-light?
Whilst dreaming, did you envision yo 'self performing at a Chuck D concert then suffering from stage fright?
After waking up from a cold-sweat, you screamed, yo' mommy came running back into the room, and after telling her everything you just experienced, she said "everything's gonna turn out just right"?
Then you wake up, look at yo' self in the mirror, then upon realizing you didn't put on any eyeshadow, temporarily lost eyesight?
I'll stop right here because this diatribe could go on forever with my manipulations.
