The problem is just that some people don't understand the lingo. To anyone who is part of the culture (or "scene," as today's hip youngsters say), it's clear that HANDBONE was discussing plans for a birthday party, "power tools" being slang for candles, "doors, locks and boarded windows" being slang for singing, dancing and celebration, and so on. I do see how all this could be misconstrued by those who are unfamiliar with the jargon, though.
For the record, I really doubt you'll need candles for that cake, based on what I saw at the last party.
