yea she tried to swerve to avoid debris in the road.. yet she moved over right into the path of humans..

I've ridden around the OKC area and many of the roads around there are pretty much like the ones up here, flat and no stop-signs/lights for miles.
Add to the fact that there are one too many motorheads up there and you're basically having to be on your toes anytime you go down the street.
I will say this though, nothing says Country-Cop more than a trooper in a Smokey-Bear hat.
But, luckily other motorists stepped up and man-handled the perp before she could high-tail it anywhere else.

Fuck it makes my stomach turn to look at that trail of destruction, to imagine what those final moments felt like, and what kind of collision tears a bicycle apart like that.
My dad told me about this on Saturday. Apparently one of the cyclists killed worked in his office. I hope it raises awareness here as well. I'll get more info.

the woman ran because she was drunk. same reason the driver ran in my accident and countless others. drunk driving carries a much stiffer penalty and burdern than does hit and run. therefore, selfish piece of shit human beings decide to run. the laws need to be changed so that hit and run carries a stiffer penalty than drunk driving collision.

3:07AM, on vacation in Las Vegas... now i can't sleep. it's not even the rush of being in Vegas anymore, but the fear of riding being hit by a car... fuck drunk drivers, put that woman away for a LONG time. Rest In Peace to the two cyclists killed. Get well soon to our injured fellow rider. please, all of you who drive. share the road, keep an eye out for bikers. =[
