CrankMobile rode back to the westside with no escort on Wilshire/Santa Monica. It was a long haul, kind of painful, but fun.
This lady at the pool today was like "What's that on your head? Is it, a bike?!?" Thx for the sharecut Richie, it'll be good watercooler talk on Monday.

the end was so fun, lotsa tumblinga round in that play area, hanako's chiropractic boots, yohi's soccer ball !!!!!! , gymnastics with sarah, BIKECARRRRR , sorry i almost flipped it , doing flips with richie , CANTERS MOB, helping folks out w/ blood and bike troubles, meeting awesome people.

Definitely an epic trip, indeed.
The fly-off with the recumbent was an ass-rocker, as were the various sub-routes used to achieve our desired points of disembarkation.
Only problem for me last night was my friend Mike eating shit on my Hummer and smashing my ding-a-ling bell to smithereens!!!!
He doesn't really ride as often as I make it down these events.
But, withstanding, it was well worth the car-rental and escorting July(?), jonnyrodriguezboy, and franz to their disembarkation point and blowing the horn at 7AM was priceless!!!!

Every CRANK MOB has to out-do the last one. It's not like this rule is stated specifically, it is just understood by the MOB mentality. It is true, every CRANK MOB is the best one ever.

to the peeps that saved our lives in the bikecar at the pan park...we were going a little fast :) ----to puglife for the ride home and for wearing that hot dress------to Andrew for carls Jr Burgers at 6am-----to XL...this was the first ride anyone has ever said i was sexy...it set my mood for the whole night....thanks...and the beer helped too!

Rad ride! Had the best party fun time! I hope everyone that ate it are okay and healing up.
On our way home a black mustang flew past us and plowed into the median on Santa Monica tearing down light poles, signs and trees, and of course completely f'ing up the car. There was crap all over the road!
As we approached the bloodied driver and passengers were trying to push the car off the road explaining in slurred speech that "They were cool... don't worry about us... we're cool!" F THAT! We called the cops and and told em that some drunk driver almost hit a group of 15 cyclists and crashed their car and probably need an ambulance.
Just wondering if anybody saw the aftermath on their way back to the start. Crazy shit... be careful everybody!

There you have it folks, more proof that Santa Monica Blvd is not the place to be riding on late nights. It has more inebriated idiotic drivers than any other major road I've been on. I'm glad you guys (and anyone else that took Santa Monica home that night) made it home safe.
