SF Bike Rentals?

Searched but couldn't find anything our forums.

Wanna head up to SF from LA by plane to ride, but don't want to pack my bike. Can anyone suggest a place to rent a fixed gear bike/u-lock combo for a weekend trip?

Or maybe suggest an affordable bike carrier for the plane? Most look uber pricey.

 take your bike apart put in a big ass bag wrap it with duct tape and call it art.

the airline will probably not charge you. ive seen it done by rosiekins and krista can vouch for her

 as far as i know rosies bike looked fine and she was riding it up in PDX for mini bike winter. not sure on if krista had any damage or anyone else that has tried it
