just kidding, i found one. now join us!
We'll leave our 3rd Street location then head out to Cerritos to hold some drag races (fixed vs fixed, road vs road, fixed vs road). Bring tubes, patch kits, tools, helmets, etc.
After our races we'll head over to Tommy's burger for some nosh then back to Downey for a ride around, a stretch and some additional exploration. We'll make it back to our spot and call it a night.
Here is the route: http://www.mapmyride.com/routes/view/30295446/
Meet: 7pm
Leave: 7:30pm
All disciplines and skill levels welcome (road, fixed, cruiser, low-rider, bmx, etc.).
Some rules to follow:
1) No rider left behind. We don’t leave any person behind if we get separated by a stop sign/signal, we’ll slow down or wait for the whole band to join again. Faster riders in the front, slower riders in the back.
2) Under 18, wear a helmet. We do not enforce this rule because we’re not law enforcement, just know that if we get pulled over and there is likely a chance of that, then you will be ticketed and possibly have your bicycle taken away by the police.
3) Are you a tool? No, so then bring tools, tubes, patch kits whatever you need to keep going. We’ll stop and help you, but don't depend on others to cover your tool needs.
4) Night rides require front and back lights. This is a non-issue, it’s for your own safety that you spend a few bucks on trustworthy lights.
5) Leave your egos at home. This ride isn’t about your cool new aerospoke or your hot Reynold’s rims. If you join the ride to look down on others and the bikes they choose to ride, you can go home. It’s not about the ride, it’s about how you ride. HINT: hipsters, go away.
6) Everyone is welcome. Unless you clearly violate the above rule.
7) Absolutely no drugs/alcohol. No excuses, we’re here to have fun and not get arrested so if you want to do drugs or get arrested join another ride somewhere else.
8) Absolutely no graffiti. You don’t want people to deface your bike, so don’t deface anyone’s property.
9) Don’t bring on the cops. Any behavior that you do that brings on the attention of law enforcement to us will get you kicked out of our ride. We’re here to have fun, not be assholes.
