at the last CrankMob, we got to seeing some amazing jumps and tricks off the ramp in the Albertson's parking lot at Palms/Sepulveda. it was reeeeeeeeeeally cool ..

but do you know what wasn't?

someone, maybe even the apparent coordinator/record keeper of the jumps, set out a standing crank just to the right of the gauntlet where people landed after jumping. i'm really not sure if this was some act of genius that i was missing from my perspective, but it SEEMS A LITTLE RETARDED TO PUT WHAT IS, IN EFFECT, A BEAR TRAP RIGHT WHERE PEOPLE ARE LANDING ON THEIR BIKES.

seriously, it was a lot of fun. so between this really stupid move and the fact that it turned into a really narrow, dangerous gauntlet of people trying to see the jumps, its just not hard to imagine the whole thing becoming a catastrophe of injuries because of a few fuckups like this. just think a bit and maybe command some better organization about these things.

because it seemed to be there on purpose and there were hundreds of people closer than me to it. whatever. see one of you at the hospital then.
