Now all of you can get hyper and pissed, and say that I don't support crimanimalzz. But, you might be wrong. I think the cross walk thing isn't gonna help people get on bikes as a lifestyle change. If any of you do....please tell me how you think clogging up the cross walks will achieve this. But, I have one request...please don't use the term, "raising awareness", unless you are joking. Whatever.
Well, I"m not gonna sit here and worry about it either. It is out of my hands. So, thanks everyone for throwing the party and hosting a century last month. I'm still here, and i"m not leaving any time soon. Plans change. That's what happened.
P.s. no I"m not turning into Chynna. And, I didn't write the blog that is the topic of this thread. I didn't even know about it until I saw the thread. I am saying this because I read through the thread, with mostly my own posts, and I see how it seems like I could be implying that I wrote the blog. Well, I didn't and I don't know who did. And, I'm sitting here having a huge case of cabin fever, because I'm stuck at home with a broken foot and I hate it. okay. Carry on.
ha....that's my friend Dan....he was the singer of the Punk band Excel.
(From the douchebag page:)
At first look this sporting chap had all the makings of a classic Westside douchebag on a bike but the black headband under the limited edition Vinokourov Oakley's of shame got me thinking this guy was a little different.
And boy was he. Unlike most guys you see riding $8,000 bikes this guy was actually friendly. He greeted me with a "What's up 'bro" and for the next couple miles we rode together and chatted about all things cycling.
My nugget of wisdom he dispensed during our chat was regarding the hook of ol Lance and Kate Hudson.
"Oh dude. Man, if she looked like she did in 'Almost Famous' all the time she'd be boners. But she was just so depressing in 'You, me and Dupree' I don't know man. I don't know."
Guess he's just a reminder that not all guys wearing neon sunglasses are douchebags.
what agrivated me most, was that the blog had no POV or opinion, nor did it offer constructive criticisim, but wtf was i expecting from someone who was comparing a crimanimalz protest in SM to what happened in tiananmen square - there are incomparable.
Hey did anyone else actually read the rest of this guy's blogs? I think he actually rides bikes and is kind of like BikeSnob NYC but on the West side... sure he has attitude for days but the only person who commented on his Crimanimalz blog sure bitch slapped him good
What have you done to support SMCM? Or are you just pining over the lamentable fact that there is conflict? I suppose it was you who left this comment on my blog as Drew:
"I agree that cyclists need protection and help. If this is the way that you go about it - targeting people who had nothing to do with the SMPDâs asshattery - and harassing them in-kind, messing up their day?
You just lost one supporter. We all know that the SMPD are a bunch of clowns - guess the âcrankmobâ is as well. Bummer - I expected better.
As I pointed out there - the quiet support of Drew/tern hasn't really solved our problems. So, although I knew we might lose your support (and many others) by demonstrating, I didn't hesitate to help organize this action. That's called making a tough call, and was necessary at this point. I wonder if you, in the same situation, could make the same call?
Keep heckling son, maybe you can get a guest blog spot on Douchebags. Me - I'll follow the Crimanimalz lead by doing.
No one that thought otherwise is going to be swayed by this idiot's blog. Just ignore him and he will go away. He obviously thrives on being sensational and pissing people off.
