I just called and talked to that guy to ask him what exactly "theft recovery" meant, cuz otherwise I was gonna flag that ad too. Turns out he has some kind of contract w/the police where if people don't come pick up their stolen bikes after 45 days he can buy them off the cops, or if someone has committed a crime on a bike & they go away for a while & no one picks up their bike for that same amount of time.....He gets the chance to buy their bikes.
I asked him a buncha ?'s, too. He says he has an actual lot, with all the paperwork coming from the police station, etc. Personally, if you have a stolen bike that looks like anything in that pic, I would go down & take a look, I guess. But yeah, he's buying 'em off the cops & selling 'em back onto the streets essentially.
