60 to 100 miles?
Is this at Eric Colton pace, because I don't want to die of boredom.

UPDATE
EXTRACREDITS is doing the South Bay Donut Ride!!!
Think WolfpackHustle, then add Saturday 8am start time, 60+ Semi-Pro road racers, Gnarly hill climbs and a 40 mph top speed.
Like woah....

... and donuts?
I don't do anything at 8 am, ever. I just want to clarify this for people who might have had the same initial reaction as I did:
DONUTS ARE WHERE.

why are fixies and single speeds not allowed? we don't exclude roadies from our rides. if i can ride a unicycle and keep up, why should i not be allowed. if i get dropped, so be it. i'm not going to start whining for the group to slow up.
well?

Fixed gears definitely have their place in the bike scene, but unfortunately the Donut Ride isn't one of them. If I invited you to a Black/White ball and you showed up wearing a pleather jumpsuit what do you think the reaction would be?
I'm only echoing sentiments from the people that organize the ride. The donut ride is a fast spandex/roadie ride and there are several people on the ride who would be greatly offended if a rider *that they didn't know* showed up on a fixed gear. After getting to know the ride's regulars (of which I am not) I'm sure you could give it a spin on a fixed gear.
This is also out of safety considerations because this ride is VERY fast, VERY hilly and a VERY tight peleton.
This is a warning because I want fixed gear riders to know that they might not be allowed to ride with the group if they show up with a fixed gear and that decision is totally out of my control. And, not to be a jerk, but if you do decided to show up with a fixed gear I'm not taking responsibility for you.
