I was just a witness for a cyclist who got hit on centinela and venice. He took a nasty hit. Hope you're ok man.

The ambulance showed up quickly. The operator told me I wasnt the only one calling in about the accident. That there was a couple of people calling about the same incident. Truth be told you should always look both ways before you cross man. I wish that guy a speedy recovery.

"Sean", rides white fixie with LAB stickers and all the LAB peeps knew him. Riders present said he hit his head near the left temple, was talking, lucid, may have blacked out for a second but not long. They wouldn't let him move and he screwed up his leg but the consensus seemed to be that everything was ok with hiz brainz, which is the most important. Transported to UCLA Westwood. This is all second hand - he was gone by the time I walked up.

He was broadsided turning left, don't know whose fault it was. Frame showed that = twisted right dropout, cracked seat stays, fork bent (like 20 degrees = folded) on right side. His deep Vs were barely scratched - those things are indestructible.

A helmet would have helped in this case.

His right temple got the impact. He was bleeding a lot man. I was right in front of him when he was hit. One second I saw him riding towards us on the sidewalk next second he was in the air then landing on his right side. Yeah I heard he went to the UCLA Hospital. Yeah the right side in the back was bent and the fork was all weird.
