Taco Tuesday THEFT

My awesome amazing Swobo silver bike was stolen red-handed from the Taco Tuesday ride tonight. Bike was stolen at around 2AM near the Dockweiler station while we were all playing a friendly game of fire soccer. Here is a picture of my bike. If you see anyone with this bike, please email or call me. I will give a reward if the bike is recovered. The bike has no stickers. It has a 2 inch scratch on the white handlebars, near the green grips.
Please restore my faith in people

WHAT THE FUCK! Rick, i was just talking with you about this bike today : ( Thats fucked up. How many people were at dockweiler while you were there? god damnit. that was a really nice bike. its a silver swobo frame, its pretty unique. I will have an eye open for this man. jesus.

fucccccck....a dude tried to sell me your bike last week!!! it was on lincoln and 83rd, in the parking lot of the dominoes pizza, etc. just above lmu....i hadn't read your post till tonight. shit. he was friends with one of the dominoes employees - young, hispanic kid w/ thick, dark, curly hair (latino-afro-ish)...i think the kid was in his car even...it was a pickup truck with one of those rooftops over the bed. he had two clearly-stolen bikes in his truck. your swobo and some older steel-frame ladies bike converted to fixie. i wish i took down his license plate number or something.

and to anyone who ever sees someone selling an obviously stolen bike or leaving a ride with two bikes, it never hurts to be pushy and ask questions. hell, be that jackass that announces to everyone around that someone might be stealing a bike! it sure would beat being that guy that saw it happen and said nothing!

Damnit... I woke up even more upset.
I can't believe the fucking trash that shows up on these rides, ruining it for everyone. Who the fuck are you people and what gutter do you crawl back to?

I hope you don't mind a couple of cosmetic dings in your bike, because if I find it with the chucklefuck who swiped it, I will use it to bludgeon the life out of them.

I am so pissed at this shit as well, there could have only been about 40 people or so at the fireball location and I think all of them were at the Manhattan Beach Pier. SO, with that in mind, Pablo and a few others might have some photos/video of these fucks that took you bike, we should look through all the photo/videos and post pics of these fucks to see if anyone knows where they live, hang out, and especially if they try to show up on TT or any other ride again, we can beat their asses. Again I am fucking sorry about your bike, let's do something about it.

Maybe it's only now that I had my own bike jacked that I'm noticing all the bikes being stolen. Is there some kind of an upswing in thefts lately?
Is there some registry of ripped off bikes online somewhere? Should be easy to set up and get linked to if not.

it wasnt. i'm going to start bringing my cable lock and locking unlocked bikes. i'd rather someone be surprised that a stranger locked their bike than that a stranger stole it.

Bring a spare U-lock tortuga, it'd look really sketch if you cable-locked it, and then somebody cut your cable lock to steal somebody else's bike.

I have a shitty 'lil' mountain bike and I keep that by my side or locked up or IN THE DIRECT SIGHT of someone I trust.
