This is one of those things that just rocks my world ...
I am always in need of a simple camera mount ... turns out a big ding dong style bell has the same threading as a camera mount (don't try this with your $1500 SLR)

 I use an old headlight mounting bracket that I drilled a hole through for the tripod screw. Of course the cam's upside down beneath the bars, but it's a simple matter of flipping the vid upright in Quicktime.

 I use bungie cords. The video gets very shaky at higher speeds, but I'm not sure if that's my mounting technique or my aluminum frame.
