Dood the guy who got hit was so plump he just fell and rolled back a little. He was just fine he was a good cushion to run into LOL like a giant oversized pillow.

Dude riding the Wrong WAY down a ONE WAY street is at fault. It's perfectly LEGAL to cross the street outside the crosswalk. It was DUMB that the guy crossing the street didn't look LEFT, but since it WAS a ONEWAY street a perfectly reasonable person would ASSUME that there would be no traffic (whether it's a bike, or a car) coming the WRONG WAY down a ONE WAY STREET.
Remember, I'm not saying I never do stupid shit, but stupid shit happens. But from a legal stand-point, the guy riding the bike is at fault. From a reasonable point of view, the guy on the bike is wrong, the guy crossing's assumption should have been right. From a logical point of view, they're BOTH idiots.

Primary Collision Factor is 21650.1 VC-Bicycle riding in the wrong direction. Contributing factor is the jaywalking.
The two violations do not cancel each other out. The more egregious violation would be the one that is the primary factor.
FYI-21650.1 VC is the number one cause of accidents involving cyclists and the number one cause of injury.

Yeah, that CVC clearly says that peds don't always have the right of way. But of course, no rider or motorist would want to hit a ped, which is why we "exercise caution".

laws aside ... this rider is an idiot
everybody makes mistakes and breaks the law, but,
he should have apologized as no pedestrian or other road user expects a vehicle that is traveling illegally against traffic.
while crossing the street in an area that is not a street corner or intersection may not be legal on paper is is commonly and safely practiced in major cities throughout the world.
You should always look both ways ...
But you should never be riding against traffic for this very reason .. it just have easily could have been a car pulling out , looking for oncoming traffic, and the cyclist would have had a much tougher collision with reality.
The cyclist essentially did a hit and run, justifying it because he somehow thought the ped was equally at fault.
I'm sure many drivers use the same justification when they leave the scene after hitting a bike or ped.

i think it was the riders fault he was going the wrong way he got lucky he didnt get ran over .the pedestrian was only looking left since its a one way st he dont have to worry about traffic coming from the right so he went on a bam . who doesnt j walk x)
