I definitely will stop in to Cole's Original French Dip and Golden Gopher to buy a sandwich and some drinks and personally thank them for putting up the money.

we should all go to one of those and thank them, and invite them to the ride of course!

I love SKD's idea of visiting and thanking the businesses that came through with the money to make this happen. Anybody want to do a pub crawl downtown on Wednesday around 8:00 and hit a couple of these places before the CCM?

staples center probably makes that much in a single hour from a lakers game... the moms and pops shops that helped out (or the ones that aren't corporate) i would thank the rest... it's probably just a big write off anyways.

Friggin' finally. It was so lame that the subways didn't run past the time when bars closed.

This feels historic, if only we could keep it year round! How much to keep it running late every second Friday?

It's outrageous that outside companies should have to pay for this service in a World Class city.
F**knig Bullsh*t MTA.
I need a French Dip to calm down...

^^^ yeah, what pretzels said.
Other cities (cough-Toronto-cough) have systems that run until 1:30am every night... and I used to complain about
that. 3:00 is AWESOME... but they should really do it every day so that people actually start to consider the system convenient and possibly even (dare I say) use it!
Anyway... baby steps... baby steps...
