i really like food.
like i really really like food.
i really like taking photos of food as well.
i like taking photos of food and then eating it.
the photos i take of food, i think are okay.
i want to take photos of food and be amazing at it. not just okay.
to get amazing at taking photos of food, i need to shoot more photos of food.
i dont have access to a lot of food.
if you or someone in ur family or one of ur friends owns any kind of eateries, i would like to take photos of their food.

i dont expect pay or anything. i dont expect free food.
the only thing i ask for is the photos.
i can make u a copy as well if u would like to use the photos for whatever.

Great food photos!
Lately I have been getting my phood photography on while having meal outings the posting to Yelp.
If you are trying to take it to the next level with lighting and stuff, consider just asking the local restaurants you like if you can photograph some of there plates ... offer to post on yelp or give them pix... i'm sure they would be down.
I took some table shots of food at one of my favorite cafés and posted to yelp (cause the photos there were pretty sad) they were psyched to see them. They love me (even more) now.

or ... host some type of food party ... like an iron chef competition. have your lighting and shit all set up and each concoction can get shot before it is munched.
the possibilities are endless

yeah, theres this new sushi place that just opened up down the street from me.
i've been thinkin bout asking them but im not sure how this would all go down. like would they prepare food just for photos and then just get rid of it?
they are new and i dont think they are aware of yelp.
and the food party sounds like a PERFECT idea.
my friends having a pot luck in a few weeks so that could be an easy way to get some subjects

my old roommate did a shoot for a sushi restaurant awhile back, and yeah, he got paid AND they made him eat all the sushi bc they didnt want it to go to waste.
he got back home and was like,
"yeah, they gave me 300 bucks and made me eat 28 plates of sushi."

Just approach them.
Offer to shoot the food for free and post on yelp for free, maybe give them free web sized .jpgs .
If they want to use them for menu or something ask them for sushi vouchers.
You would be big ballin' going there on a date with $50 or $100 in sushi credit.

I run Pizza Pazzo. We make mostly organic pizzas at student friendly prices for local home delivery as well as this new recipe i've been developing for blackberry cheesecake I'm becoming quite killer at.
also..
If you're ever in Vegas and need some good breakfast and are down with Filipino-Hawaiian foods, my fam from Oahu just opened up a new location for the family restaurant called Elena's. Gimme a heads up before you head out there and im pretty sure I can score you some free adobo fried rice omelets in exchange for marketing photography. Totally da kine!! :)

i made a crazy ass burger yesterday stuffed with monterey jack, chiles, and bacon topped with a fried egg, onions, and garlic butter. sadly did not get a snap to forward to thisiswhyyourefat.com.
