OK, I'll be at Redquarters (Santa Monica & Vermont Red Line station) at six-ish, ready to ride. LABAC meeting starts at 7:00, at Parker Center downtown (150 N. Los Angeles St.). Let's hear what they have to say now about that bike license crap.

I didn't make that very clear, did I. Meet at six, ride shortly thereafter. That's how Enci and Soapbox always do it.

I can't do the ride, but I'll be there tonight.
Not surprisingly, the only action item on the agenda is the approval of the October minutes. Everything else is listed as an "information item", which means nothing is actually going to get done.
Good 'ol Bicycle Advisory Committee—how worthless you are!

If there's time afterward, we'll Storm the Times and liberate Angle. He's being held against his will by a bunch of MetroMix models and...nevermind. He seems to have it under control. Carry on.

This was one for the books!
JB Ali, our very own Flying Pigeon, flew into the meeting, turned in a speaker card and promptly took Mr. Microphone in hand and called for the immediate resignation of the irrelevant and ineffective Bicycle Advisory Committee, telling them that their passive failure was now personal and that he would work to have them replaced.
No confirmation to the rumor that Capt. Sharrows was seen lurking in the foyer of Parker Center.
Once the brouhaha settled down, PC, Angle and I were left to mop up the mess.
The LADOT was able to keep things firmly focused on studies, reports and more studies, all the while deflecting any real demands for immediate improvements by repetitiously calling for more money, more staff, more money, more staff...
Time for a change!
