are you benefiting from slavery, forced labor, manifestly unfair conditions? look in your closet, on your shelves. be aware that every "savings" you make is likely the result of the above conditions. remember, there are people on the other end of the line.
and is the food you bite into the last existence of a creature raised in torment and finally cruelly slaughtered in horror? if you must eat meat, at least be aware that there was an existence at the end of that line, too.
just be aware. and express your gratitude for that which comes to you.

we live in the first world. theres no such thing as gratitude, only the feeling of entitlement.

Well, due to some CEO's of various companies wanting to increase their take-home, that's what we got.
Since we can't go back in time and shoot them, we'll just have to live with what we have until everything could be straightened properly with whatever, realistic means are available.
Or, move out to the woods with an antique musket and Bowie-knife.

Do other people pay you rent? Do they pay more than your costs? Do you raise the rent by a larger nominal value than your costs increase? Then you are making people more enslaved to the system!
On another note, I buy my beef directly from these guys:

They sell at Tuesday farmers markets in Torrance and Culver City.
