Tour du PIZZA PORT

come with us as we ride ~75 miles down (and a little back up) Orange County and San diego's beautiful coastline, stopping at all three branches of the venerable Pie-N-Microbrew institution, "Pizza Port"! If you're not aware of these
amazing little brewpubs, they serve up about 40 different beers on draught, many brewed by them and elsewhere in southern california, and all of them AMAZING. The 'Za ain't bad either!
START: Be on the 8:45AM Metrolink train from union station to Laguna Niguel OR Meet us at the Laguna Niguel ML station @ 10:00AM.
RIDE: ~15-18mph, brisk, but not a hustle by any means. THIS IS NOT A RIDE FOR BEGINNERS. If you haven't ridden a century or two, this ride ain't for you. That said, we will do everything we can to make this a no-rida-left-behind event. We will stop briefly at the Pizza Port in San clemente, a gas station/7-11 type thing in oceanside, the Solana beach pizza port, and finally end at the Carlsbad pizza port.
END: You have a couple options. About 4 miles from the last pizza and beer stop is the oceanside amtrak station, from which you can catch the train back to LA either saturday night or sunday morning. The last trains saturday night leave at 7:10PM, 9:04PM and 10:09PM. If you want to stay the night, you can crash at my mom's house, about 7 miles inland from the train station (this offer will be capped at a couple of riders, by RSVP only!).

Once again I'm interested, but once again the likelihood of my attendance is questionable. I go out of town on the following Tuesday and it looks likely that the weekend will be spent furiously trying to make last minute Christmas present purchases for my family. But I will try to take care of it during the week and then I should be able to make it I hope. We'll see. That was all a long-winded way of saying...
Definitely maybe!

UPDATE!!!!!
New date: SUNDAY the 21st!
Sorry if this means you can't go now; some people who are definitely going can only do it on Sunday.
Amtrak schedules are the same Sunday and Saturday night. ML and amtrak trains monday morning are much more plentiful.
