It's been a while..

clear the parameter ram -

boot up and hold control+option+p+r and let it chime 5 times...

then spin a chicken around and clap your hands.

Macs are TOTALLY ripping of Windows ideas! This is an outrage!

A mac frozen on boot up is a light shade of blue with a hint of green, rather then the windows 100% make your eyes bleed blue. Not the same thing at all.

For starters try restarting while holding Apple + Option + P + R and wait for the mac start up chime to go off twice before letting go.

This is one of the more common issues I fix on macs. Especially if the machine was upgraded, say from tiger to leopard.

I have DISK warrior if you need it. It is a good program and bootable disk for you hard drive.

MACs forever.
