Holy Crap!!!
I thought people were kidding with me when they told me at the art ride!
I never won anything before so idk what to say,didn't even know I was in the running :P
I'm just happy to be here and to be part of this awesome community.
Yeah I know I'm new and it will soon wear off and I'm going to be one of the bitter old ones in here... :P
But I doubt it.
I've been riding my bikes for almost two years now and the feeling is still as strong for me today as it was on my first day riding to work.
I want to thank you guys for welcoming me in here and not leaving me behind on the uphills lol.
On a side note Tonight was very interesting as alignment was thrown off and my chain popped out and got stuck in the freewheel.
I told Adrian to go on ahead as I did not want to keep the group waiting for me,I knew they were hungry for tacos.
I assured Adrian I'd be ok and just go.he told me to meet him at the taco place if iI was up for it.
So on to the story.
Not 10 minutes pave passed since he left and I was still struggling to pop out the chain when I noticed a black prelude across the street,driving by slowly.
Windows were tinted I memorized the plate number in my head and went back to what i was doing.The car goes down the street and turms and i thought nothing more of it.
Five minutes pass by and the car comes up on my side of the street now and I was thinking "Fuck I just pedaled 3 massive uphills"...
The car stops and the back door opens.It was a fucking carload of cholos.
I smiled at the guy who comes out and he asks me if I needed help.
I was wary, thinking it was a ploy to distract me and then hit me when I was distracted (from experience) I told him I needed a 14mm wrench.Imagine my surprise when he goes in the trunk and gets an adjustable one for me!
Meanwhile his buddies are all smoking weed in the car and fucking around with each other.
As I'm working the guy (ramon was his name he mentioned) asked me about bikes and about the rides.
He was genuinely interested.
So I told him about MR and critical mass and the stuff we do on rides.
I finally got the chain on and working again and thanked ramon and waved to his buddies and pedaled home and up to now i'm still thinking about it...

1. how did you find out about midnight ridazz?
I saw what I believe now was the wolfpack hustling by on wilshire near St. Basil Church.
One of the riders had the Big skull on the back along with the name:Midnight Ridazz.
Off to google I go and here I am :)
2. why did you first start biking to work?
At first it was just a challenge, then it was for my health and now It's for fun.

Critical Mass April of this year

All of them.
As long as I'm with like-minded people who love coming out and enjoying the city and riding.
