The ride that may or may not have happened

Has anyone here heard of that dance/party ride that was supposed to happen 1/13/09? People were supposed to meet on Hill st. b/t 4th and 2nd for a lack of better words. The ride said 9:30.... Now the question is, was that to meet or leave?

Me and some fellas showed up around 9:40 and there was nothing going on. I heard some stories of something concerning other riders that ended up in echo park a couple hours later. Is this some kind of ride that's like a myth? Did it even happen? Should I have taken all the stray riders and claimed that I was the one that planned the ride and brought them all to skid row?
