AT does not yet have a PhD in Mathematics - in two weeks however, he will.
Tutoring, I dunno - I hates it to tell you the truth.
Anyway - thinking about the movie, I think it's an interesting to think about why you are better and cooler than a tank. And it comes down to information - your body is ablaze from information - a fire of computing is going on, consuming all that pizza Borfo was gonna eat. And it's all about information. And a tank isn't . . . it's super inert and not nearly so awesome.
have you ever crashed ur truck or like hit something.
-In case no one told you, I was involved in a serious rollover while driving through Utah last year.
If I ever get rehired by that company, one thing's for certain, GET ENOUGH SLEEP.
would something that massive bring down a building?
-Only if there's enough explosives illegally packed in, or if the building's made out of tin-foil.
Otherwise, no.
do you have one of those trucks where there interior is fuckin way decked out so you can sleep in it all comfy like?
-When I was Swift, those Volvo's were like hotel rooms if kept up properly.
The piece of shit I'm driving right now is like a closet!!!
have you seen some wild shit at truck stops?
-Other than them being dirty, no.
You usually see wild shit at roadside bars off of state-routes, and rest areas.
Now, as far as GPA for med-school is concerned, is there a specific school you're trying to get into?
I read somewhere awhile back that places like Kansas and Nebraska are trying to get more doctors into their states by opening medical schools with "General Practice" in mind.
Another gripe about living in California is the high-demands of most schools around here.
But, then again, for most B/A and B/S programs, you're only required to have a 2.0 GPA, but that's only for those.
I'm still trying to figure out what I want to do if I have to go to school to keep myself employed.
Alot of research, but no definite decisions made for an alternative to my existing career paths.
idk, ive taken many a bio exams. reading and taking notes is easy as cake. driving a huge truck and making sure you dont destroy lives, idk, ive never driven a truck before but im guessing its pretty rough.
i think people my age that complain about school being tough are just being lazy. previous students have come and gone taking that same class with flying colors.
what it comes down to it, our generation has become nothing more than a bunch of bitches.
I already paid back one loan for those thirty units, I'd rather go part-time and pay out of pocket.
Financial aid is something I'd rather not want to get again, but we'll save that issue for another thread.
As far as studying goes, I've read the books, but most of the time, instructors expect you to pass the test via, their spoken word you write down on paper.
I don't know about anyone else, but some instructors speak real fast and I sure as Hell ain't no stenographer.
As far as staying awake on the truck is concerned, I would actually not mind driving trucks as a career.
But, if I'm doomed to never get back into a large, company like Swift or, Knight again, I may just have to go through those class-room doors to keep myself fed.
Ultimately, I guess you could say I sort of also garnered a "fear of school".
Swift was the company I did cross-country with.
I drove about 1500-2000 miles from home each week.
The longest I stayed out was six, straight weeks back in '07.
The company I'm with right now mainly does local, container hauling, but does have some OTR(long haul) work.
But, their not logistically capable of holding their own on long-haul operations as far as I'm concerned.
So I stay here.
"Any science ride better come up here to Caltech."
Are you attending?
I was almost sent there on a summer internship program but im stupid and didnt do it.
Plus the name is supper intimidating haha.
One of the best professors Ive had was an Organic Chemistry professor who did his Post Doc there and he was fired from csun (or not re-hired depending on the politics of the matter) and that dude was the shit.
