Not trying to be negative, but isn't that supposed to be used for strictly school?

when i went for my orientation. they specifically told us to use that money on whatever would make us better students..
so if you need to go to the movies to relax from all the "stress" school gives you... then go to the movies with your fafsa money!
if you need to smoke a blunt to go to sleep after taking all those cups of coffee... smoke that blunt!
if you need to party and get wasted after finals... do it!!!!

Too much paperwork for me to deal with.
Much easier for me to just drop personal funds on it and call it a tax-deduction.

If you make under 10 grand a year and a California resident and go to any CC in California they waive your fees .. so you pay like 27 bucks or something for unlimited units...

There used to be an amazing bookshop in long beach called Chelsea Bookstore. And after weeks of being piss broke, I had just deposited my FASFA check and was pretty excited to have a few hunny in the bank. i wandered into Chelsea and it turned out they were preparing to close after like a 30 year run and all these amazing books were on sale like 50-75% off! To top it off I had just come from a friends house there in Bong Leach and it didn't help my judgement any that I was stoned out of my mind. When I got up to the counter with a stack of something like 15 books. The guy at the counter looked at me, no doubt realizing i was totally baked and said "its kinda like going to the grocery store on an empty stomach", I agreed, grinned sheepishly, paid the man about $60, feelin' a little dumb, and a lot exited that I had just scored a stack of weird ass books from one of Long Beach's legendary book stores.
