In case there are any fans here of them...
when Tom Bergeron (tv host) was a kid he was able to get in touch with the three stooges when they were in nursing homes and just living as old guys...he said he was doing it for a fictitious radio show or t.v. show...i don't recall...anyhow, he recorded hours of phone conversations with them and recently found them and howard's gonna play them on his show this friday at 11am pst. Supposedly they're amazing interviews.

The 74 year old son of Moe reveals he lived much of his life in denial about the fact that dad was the supreme Stooge. Paul Howard telling reporter Steve Langford it wasn’t easy being Moe’s kid. At home, Moe didn’t clown around, he was tense impatient and not a great communicator according to Paul. But in later years Paul says he developed a close relationship with his legendary father, and says he’s proud of what his father created. Stay tuned for the full report.

Apparently, in May 2009 Dancing with the Stars host Tom Bergeron revealed to Howard Stern that as a teenager in the 1970’s, he had the chance to interview two of the original Three Stooges: Moe Howard and Larry Fine.
As part of the interviews, Moe and Larry discuss the history of the Stooges plus the Curly/Shemp/Curly-Joe/Joe “third Stooge” evolution.
Larry reminisces about working with Charlie Chaplin and Buster Keaton and in one surprising moment, Moe takes a swipe at legendary comedians Jerry Lewis and Bob Hope. The interview with Larry Fine was done just months before his death in 1975.

When I was in high school (1970) KCET showed an hour of the boy's antics in the afternoon every day. My brother and I would rush home and laugh our asses off, even to the episodes we had seen 50 plus times before.
I remember both Moe and Larry on the show from time to time. They were both quite old, but, man, I could listen to their stories for hours. They both died in 1975.
Curley is buried in a Jewish cemetary accross the stree from the giant Catholic cemetary in ELA. Whittier Blvd. splits the two cemetaries.
I made a pilgrimage to Curley's grave about 20 years ago. I found it with the help of the guy at the cemetary office, but he was obviously pretty tired of people asking for Curly's grave.
Curly's headstone says something simple like: Jerome Horowitz (they Americanized it to Howard), loving father and brother.
There were lots of paper notes under pebbles on Curly's headstone, left there by fans.
