As seen between jonnyboy's and larsenf's legs. That's a killer deal. They are 700$ new with all crap parts and that thing looks like it's got new bars, stem, saddle, cranks and pedals. Buy it you won't regret it.

that is a decent price.i noticed the cranks are upgraded to miche.
that is what i have on my capo.aperently, the crank and bottom braket are the weak link on the stock build.
and let me say i do love my capo............

yes....it worked! i love to ride it and it has been great.
you are right, they do run big mine is a '58 i am 5'10 and it is fine

Yup, cranks and bb have been upgraded to miche cranks and a phil wood bb.

man those cranks and saddle make that capo look stone age. 58cm and your 5'10''? you must have freakishly long legs or that bike is way big for you. im nearly 6'1'' and i ride a 56cm, given my legs are a little short for my height but still, 58cm sounds way big. track bikes should be bought a size smaller than what you ride on the road if your gonna actually take em to the track and i can ride a 56cm road bike.

but capos arent legit track bikes because they have lax geometry.
ruinedbyidiots02.8.09 - 12:11 pm

funny you say that because they have the same geometry as the cannondale track that has been around for years.

Legit cannondale track bike from 03 - http://www.cannondale.com/bikes/03/geo-40.html
2008 capo - http://www.cannondale.com/bikes/08/cusa/model-8PR1.html
only difference is the track frame was 1000$ and came with dura ace track parts.

tyler,dont hate on my non-legit capo.if i recall,you ride some IRO.
not known for its reputation on the track.to its credit,my bike is stable, easy to ride fast, good bottom bracket clearance,light........
i also rode it to san diego once and it was fine, didnt beat me uo.
i am not saying to buy this bike, just that i love mine.

im just going off what you said.
the capo comes from the same factory in taiwan as the iros.

wtf RBI the capo is hand made right here in the U-S of fucking A. in fact all there bikes are made here except for there lower end carbon bikes with alloy stays.
larsenf02.8.09 - 1:04 pm
reply
i didnt say that. and honestly,my bike will surely never see the track.
i would never listen to advice gotten over the internet anyway .alot of mis-information from people who think they know more than they really do.
so why should i care if some guy i dont know thinks my bike is too big for me?
and my capo is pre tiawan, made in the U.S.A.
come on tho..............its not the bike that really matters.its what you do you with it.

Let me see if I can sum up what you fellas are saying:
"Buy the bike from Lee and everyone will be happy! Call him if you've got any questions on parts or wanna ride it to see how it fits your own unique body and style!"
Is that the long and the short of it?
BICYKILLER02.8.09 - 1:16 pm
reply
ill agree with that, but there is no pre taiwan capos, they have always been made here. the only reason cannondale has any frames made in taiwan is they dont have the tooling to make carbon frames with alum stays and they need frames like that to compete with other manufactures. cannondale is a great company and their bikes are awesome. my bike is used for the road 99% of the time so i have it sized large for comfort but when bikes are used exclusively for track often people with go a size smaller. this has nothing to do with track geometry, but has to do with the fact that a smaller bike can allow you to be more aerodynamic and is lighter.

me either. i didnt mean to be offensive about your bikes size btw, im just stating for those who are asking if they think it would be to big or too small you never know, peoples bodies are not all the same proportions.

I don't know about prior years, but 08 and 09 Capos are handmade in the USA. Although, the 09 colorways include the ugliest grey/white with purple accents. ::pukes::

I took this bike for a spin today and it rides sick! If I didn't have 7 bikes I would have grabbed it for sure. I am 5'10 and have a 32" Inseam. Bike fits great. Props for a sweet ride and a sweet price! If I get rid of some Schwinns this week I am grabbin this for sure!

This is very tempting, as it appears to be an excellent deal. Though it is a little too big for me. Also I haz no job right now, so I can't really justify the expense.
Bump for BICYKILLER's friend.
