WE ARE PUTTING TOGETHER A RIDE AND WE HOPE TO GET SOME TALL BIKES OUT TO JOIN US. THIS RIDE IS THE FIRST OF MANY TO RIDE THE STREETS OF EAST L.A. TO INTRODUCE THE FUN THAT COMES WITH RIDING IN THE NIGHT.
HOPE TO GET SOME TALL BIKE RIDERS OUT AND JOIN US!!

Ok...Let me be specific. I am looking for people who ride " TALL BIKES ", to come out to join us. Is that better?????

1. I agree E.L.A. like almost every city has its areas that I wouldn't bring a bike ride through.
2. I grew up in E.L.A. and honestly I believe I came out alright.

To see Ritchie on Kafourky Sky cruising in East Los would be epic! the route is just about set, it will be pretty chill route with stops at a couple of landmarks. There will also be a small loop thru DTLA. All inclusive, lets bring FUN to East LA, lets rise above the divisive dialogue, lets show that FUN and a positive vibration is appealing, no matter your age, male or female, or what cultural background one comes from. RIDE ON!

The first huge group rides in L.A. used to meet at the 5 points in east L.A. next to the cemetary with the original east side bicycle club- that was a115 years ago so I guess its time history repeats itself- Id love to ride with some peeps from the hood.

CINCO PUNTOS! I know that place, as a matter of fact we will be riding right past that spot on our way back from the Down Town L.A. It's going to be great!
Crazy I never knew that part of history...good to know. The spirit of the riders from 115 years ago will be riding with us that night. They wouldn't have it any other way.

I am inviting people to join us in starting a ride that can be fun and appropriate for all ages. I want the focus to be riding, feeling the freedom that comes from riding, making new friends, and pushing the limit of your human ability not only physical but mental to a different and higher state.
This ride is NOT about smoking, drinking, drugs, race, gender, religion, and or social status. All religions are of course welcome (I mean not offend anyone). This is a ride that we hope can create UNITY and LOVE for one another and of course for riding, (after all we all do share that same interest).
We hope to get some experience riders. Fixies, BMXers, TALL bikes you name it, if it's uncommon we want you here!!!

the USC digital photo library has some great los angeles cycling photos- They have quite a few of rides from late 1800's through the 1920's of los angeles cycling events - most on the same streets we ride today just before they were paved- Also was shocked to see alot of bike lanes that were put into place by the city to keep riders clear of streets cars and horse drawn transportation.
