I would say anything with tires wider than road wheels, but then again there were ppl with skinny tires that seemed to do just fine on the sand.

YES!!
This is going to be amazing at midnight!
I also reccommend a bike who's bottom bracket you don't necessarily care about!

fk i can't wait... The next morning after, during the IronBruin triathlon, I will be thinking, "yea, these kids are fast, but how many of them rode ON the Pacific Ocean last night..."

I think we averaged anywhere between 6-12mph on the sand

we will do a little street riding first and have one fun stop before hitting the sand. but really you'll want to be on the sand. i'm bringing bikes for a couple people and may have one extra.

Thinking about bringing the daddy diamondback salton sea bike....
Little diamondback's bottom bracket is about shot from the last beach ride.

Ohmygawd. It was my first time in the hot tub. Awesome. The ride was dope. And I loved the fact that our group was so intimate. Car BACK! Bush to your right. Baby circle of death.

I'm sorry I missed this!
How DO you ride your bike in the sand? I have a Gary Fisher MTB and I rode to Venice Beach today and wondered how one rides in the sand?
