United Teachers - LA - marching against proposed budget cuts etc.
Expected participants - 4-5000
There are 2 separate march routes going in 2 different directions
One ending @ Pershing Square and the second at R. Reagan State Bldg on Spring




EVENT: UTLA Fight Back March & Rally
DATE: Thursday January 29th, 2009
TIME: 3:00 PM to 6:30 PM

ASSEMBLY LOCATION:

· Location # 1 - 333 S. Beaudry Ave
· Location #2 - Pershing Square
MARCH ROUTE (From Beaudry Assembly Point):

E/B 4th Street
S/B Flower Street
E/B 5th Street
Ending at Pershing Square
MARCH ROUTE (From Pershing Square Assembly Point):

N/B Hill Street
E/B 4th Street
N/B Spring Street
Ending at Ronald Reagan State Building (311 S. Spring Street)
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
We do not have information about road closures at this time. However attendance is anticipated to be in the range of 4-5 thousand. It is advised that you plan your travel accordingly. not to mention drivers are becoming much more aggressive with their financial meltdown issues.

UTLA should declare war on the other unions. They can clash with their different colored t-shirts. It will make for great T.V.
