NEED PEOPLE'S OPINION

Obviously a ride is not going to fit everyone's schedule however, I would like your opinion on setting a ride date. I plan on having a ride either:
Saturday, July 5th but around 9-10 a.m. (so I guess it's not really a "midnight ride"
-or-
Monday, July 7th, at night.
Pros with the Saturday ride is that more people will show. Problem is that July will be hotter than hell outside so I worry about people having heat stroke.
Pros with Monday is that it will be not as hot but people have to work the following day. I figured the ride could start around 7 p.m.
Keep in mind the ride will be hopefully Midnight Ridazz style (zany, crazy, streaking, up to you) but the ride will also be part charity ride. More details probably Friday as I get more feedback. I leave the floor you to. Thanks!

Okay I was assuming on a Saturday more people would show simply it's the weekend. Probably shouldn't assume that though! Oopss...

Based on the past few years, you have a good chance of cool overcast skies on July 5, burning off in the afternoon.
I run a 4th of July 5k race every year, and it has been cool in the mornings.
Cool but on the humid side. Nothing that will be an issue with a bike ride.

My one observation is that once we're into the summer, EVERY niight seems to get loaded up with rides, school or no school/work or no work. Sure, weekends are more popular, but as i recall, there were a Plethora of rides during the week this past year. I'm a newer rider to the community so i don't know what the early part of summer was like but towards the end of summer and into fall, i was like a kid in a candy store.

Hmm... A ride early in the morning the day after July 4th, sounds like a perfect time for a Midnight Ridazz style ride!

have a concept, go beyond a "theme". make the ride count for something. in my opinion, concept is king.
anyone can be original, but makes sure the concept is outside of the comfort zone. yours' and others'.
people will show up or at least do their best to do so.

July 5th is when most people are gonna be hung over,assuming they celebrate july 4th like they do out here in "Bum-Fuck Egypt",not to mention a night ride will be nice and cool.......... Where are you thinking of having it at?
