@TheDude, and everybody else:
LAPD has actually POSTED to this site, and we know for a fact that the Bureau of Land Management (a Federal agency) has visited this site to do research for a law suit against one of our own. Also, people have been discussing in other threads how now that the LAPD has some group looking into protecting cyclists' rights who are aware of Midnight Ridazz, and who might visit the website.
It's not a question of whether the LAPD is going to batter down the front door at your Xmas party because of some pot brownies. It's that if the cops somehow get the impression that all of our rides involve DUI and/or illegal substances - whether that impression is correct or not - it could bring more police scrutiny. And I don't think you want that any more than the rest of us.
People using this site seriously need to learn a little security culture.
