i found a nice little mom and pop shop that are slanging deep v rims... velocity vueltas n weinmans...


THe owner of the bike spot is real cool and said he would give some sort of discount if i let people know.... so stop by and let them know where you heard it from

la bikes is pretty cool. i got my vuelta rims for a good price. i know they carry velocity rims now. i would go with those.

Got mine on a good deal at Mestros down town..havent seen any one else with em..
He can order stuff..cool peeps.

Maestro.... well long story short, I got a broken spoke and dropped it off since it was the closest bike shop to my office.

Lunch time: went to go pick it up, they wheel was out of true still. Making the price from $15 to $12. does not make it better...

Then saying to me it's fixed right? I gave it back and they did properly true it. but I noticed after I left the shop it was a silver spoke.... all my spokes are black.

cute shop for quick buys, but I don't agree with their half ass jobs.

You're right they are not a "GO TO SHOP" and pretty small..my post should not be interpreted as pitching a full on shop since yes they are limited on tech knowledge and gear.Yet it is a bike shop that will save you money if you know exactly what you want and just ask them to do it or order it..low mark up.

well they have all the rims and they can order a lot of perts you just have to ask.. =]
