Canondale, and if you need a front wheel that's a good price.

I have those wheels. They are total garbage. They don't just fail to stay true on LA roads - my rear wheel spontaneously breaks spokes on occasion. I'm not the lightest of riders, but a wheel really ought to be able to handle wilshire blvd for more than 2 days without becoming total basket cases.

When I worked at Helen's we had a Trek T1 track bike and the bontrager wheels went out of true while it was sitting on display. No joke. But that's good for 20 bucks.

that's the most ridiculous thing ive ever heard. i say if they're that bad, they might at least be good to keep as spares. you never know when something is going to happen with your nice wheelset. just be sure to store them on their sides.

what kind of bontrager wheels are those? i have a pair of racexlites on my road bike that have never needed to be trued. they also stood up to the gritty la streets and didnt even explode or whatever on the cubcamp wilshire race.

I fully reccomend having Tony Z build your wheels if you have the money (and the time for him to procrastinate on the job) I have two sets from Tony and I have yet to break a single spoke after 2 years of WP. I don't even remember having to true them either... SOLID WORK.
