Ciclavia is a new way of looking at improving Angelenos’ health and changing the car culture of this city. Inspired by the original weekly street closure event in Bogotá, Colombia, Ciclavia will be an event with a dedicated route closed off to cars by Fall 2009 that will encourage residents of Los Angeles to bicycle and walk more. This “linear park� will connect participants to exciting destinations and cultural institutions. Ciclavia is instrumental in bringing parks and safe spaces for people to recreate and play in within this city starved of green space.

You know - it sounds like a good idea. I'm a little miffed, because their twitter account has been engaging in follow spam. If it were just a little I'd never say anything, but when they tried to follow MY MOM it got retarded, and something needed to be said publicly.
