Hit & eye run?

Coming to work this morning, a car about 50ft ahead was in the middle of an illegal U-turn... Since they couldn't make the full U successfully, they stopped at the curb and started backing up. I assumed they would keep backing up enough to go back into drive and complete the turn and that they would stop with my yelling/whistling and bell ringing BEFORE going forward again... But no, the incompitent driver decided to go forward way too early to try again as i was about to pass in front of the car.
I got pinched to the curb and my leg/pedal hit the bumper. I was riding fixed, my ankle got sandwiched betwen my left crank arm and the bumper going about 15mph and got a nice little gash. Besides being sore and numb, i'm doing fine. I was almost late for work and i had been 15 minutes late the day before, so i just kept riding.
A hit and I keep riding. weird. For some reason i felt like me still riding left the driver perplexed and in shock. That's exciting.

Glad to hear you didn't eat shit richie!! Hope the battlewound heals quickly and leaves a cool-looking scar. That's ballsy...definitely the kind of move i pull way too often and realize later was stupid...i always tell myself 'Better to be safe than right', but fuck all if i can abide by it. stupid cars.
On a related note, I have to say, i've been very impressed with the additional helmets i've been seeing lately. Pretty much all the mosey homies have converted recently...if only we could get royalacademy and andrew to put one on we'd be pretty damn safe!

Sorry to hear about your accident and how you had to make such a daring move:)
Glad you are okay and alive.
How is you foot? and how did you continue your day at work afterwards?
