for serious! There are so many rides and so many Ridazz and so many bike posse's and so many cycleFREAKS and GEEKS I don't even know how to express how I'm utterly IMPRESSED!
the F.U.N is INCREDIBLE
I keep telling all my non-LA friends they gotta see it to believe it -
and every time they come out here and play in the streets of LA, they say
woah - I had no idea it was like this here in LA of all places
and I say...
I TOLD YOU SO!!!!!!!
so on another note of LA awesomeness -
The Bicycle Film Festival is coming up FAST!!!
and I need help with volunteers for lots of things - and also LACBC is gonna need help with Valet bike parking for the movies
if you help for a few hours you get free entry into a movie screening.
The BFF is from the 17th to the 20th of July
who's ready?????

Yes, I get warm and fuzzy when I think about how much bike-friendlier L.A. has gotten just in the past couple of years since I started riding bikes again. I thank every last one of you for making it so.
Knock on wood, but I haven't been honked at or gotten grief from a motorist in weeks. There's maybe one or two a month, but by and large people are getting it: Bikes are fun and a legit way to get around.
We gots a good thing here. Let's keep this going.

Nothing like being part of the grass-roots of something that's due to become mainstream.
20 years from now when bicycles and trains rule the transport-options of SoCal, we'll all be proud to say we were the ones that
"Made It Happen".

I've been really impressed too by the number of riders and riders. It's great. Coming from "the country" it really makes me feel at home here. It's single-handedly made me change my mind about whether I like LA or not. A buddy of mine lives in Boston and he says there's nothing there like what we have. Everyone have F.U.N.!!

I've only been riding for a year in LA, but I've even notice subtle changes. This rules! Let's keep this amazing community going.

awesome!!!!
who can offer up some time between the 17-20th of July to help me and the general bike awesomeness of LA with the Bicycle Film Festival?
We need bicycle valet parkers, t-shirt sellers, promoters (during the weeks prior), event helpers, rockers, block party attendees, and much much more to make LA's Bicycle Film Festival the unbelievable success it can and should be!!

YES! Based on the things I've heard I never expected LA to be like this when I moved down here, but now I am so happy that it is.

I wanna sell shirts.
But only if mikey and franz are there, too. We did really well selling all the beer at your party. I'm going to sign them up whether they like it or not.

At my place of work, I hear stories of people who have moved to other states due to cost-of-living issues.
Hell, I've been urged by some to do the same.
I simply tell them you either got to adapt to your conditions, or move along.
Then I also think to myself, "Yes, these people might be saving an assload of money, but are they truly happy wherever they are?"
I'm more than willing to bet that there are some people who might've left the LA-area, that are now regretting that decision.
This would probably be more noteworthy of those that moved from there, to say, someplace like where I live, or worse.
