Anyone selling a mixte? Nothing French, and preferably not teeny tiny.

Bunniez, we talked about you buying mine, but I think I wanna keep it and trick it out. Make it the stylie bike it always wanted to be but never became, because I rode it every day and couldn't spare it to fix it up proper.
But think about it. You will have a mixte soon.
Mixte will have a mixte.
redridinghood will get her mixte in running order (right?)
And I will have a mixte.
Chixtes.
Any other chixtes out there?

French components can be reaaallly annoying to deal with if you are looking to upgrade or you are missing something.

Understood but many of the Motobecanes and Peugeots had switched to English threading by the 80s.

Thanks everyone for the input. There's nothing wrong with French except that I'd like to put some more modern components on it. And ya know, don't want to be fucked if I ever need a new bottom bracket. ;-)
I'm on the lookout on craigslist but thought someone might have something sitting in the garage.
Katie: definitely fix up that mixte. Then eventually we can all get our mixtes together for a mixte ride. Same goes for you redridinghood!

TOTALLY.
I got a second bike -- a super lightweight single speed -- but I'm looking forward to tricking out the mixte. Making it the stylie bike it has always wanted to be. I never had time to fix it up because it was my only bike.

Hey folks, I just want to clarify the difference between a 'step-through' and a 'mixte'.
Wikipedia: "One particular type of step-through frame is called a mixte. In a mixte frame, the top tube of the traditional diamond frame is replaced with a PAIR of smaller tubeS running from the top of the head tube all the way back to the rear axle, connecting at the seat tube on the way."

Yup, a step-through is any kind of frame with an extreme sloping top tube that you don't have to throw your leg over and a mixte is a specific kind of step-through frame.
In many places a mixte is a unisex bike, but here they're mostly known as women's bikes.
