The next Dark Century is starting in about 15 minutes. People will start meeting up. New friends will be acquainted. And, the ride will happen again. It is fully magic for me....when I am there. I am a bit sad that I can't be there, but Leslie is dyed in the wool DC Crew. And, he has made some awesome changes. He is one of the most capable distance riders I know...and every time people talk to him about it, he acts like he is a beginner. Hahaha! Maybe this part of him, who is always starting like he is going on a new, awesome challenge is the part of him that makes him such a strong rider.


To the new century riders, if you aren't already in route....this will be a great ADVENTURE! Use all of your strength...and find help in the friends you have...and the friends you will meet. You will either use this strength to ride faster than you ever have before, or you will use this strength to MAKE IT. Either way, I am envious of all of you who are doing their first century...Have Fun!


Also, It has come to my attention that most of the conversation about the Dark Century has moved to another place. I've seen this, and responded. I'm happy the people there are so excited.
But, I have some Heart for MR....and I miss the back and forth about the ride on this forum....

we miss you tern! i didn't end up doing the DC but i rode 65 miles this morning. i'm out of shape..bleh

can't wait till you return and i should be in shape by then..hopefully ;)
