Eh, I'm used to it. Everybody loooooooves my opinionated writing until I disagree with them.
You don't have to believe this, but I do share your essential goal. I just happen to think that the ideology you've embraced in pursuit of them is an intellectual dead end. You know....kinda like Critical Mass. :)

Yeah, I've been meaning to address your "identity politics" comment. I would like to address it. But you know what's fucked up? I'm totally fucking busy at work right now......now that I've been laid off. So I haven't had the time really.
I could recommend an interesting quick read, though. Mapping the Margins: Intersectionality, Identity Politics, and Violence Against Women of Color by Kimberle Crenshaw Williams. (I have it as part of a compilation called Critical Race Theory: The Key Writings that Formed the Movement.)

But back on topic, the link I clicked on to get to this thread reads "ladies who are sick ..." and I'm thinking "aww, poor ladies." Is that sexist? I'm worried that's sexist.

Stephanie, this by no means that i'm anti ladies rides. i am all down for ladies rides, if they work out. im just sick of the posts here because they get hijacked by dudes trying to hit on the ladies. i dont believe that the women of this community go on rides solely to pick up men, as some men tend to believe. THATs what bums me out about those threads, the complete objectification of women.
also pointing out that there needs to be more women on the rides tends to make the women who are uncomfortable going on the rides ( or just beginning going on the rides ) hesitant to go if they dont think there will be any others.

I never knew there was a "not enough girls/women on rides" pandemic spreading through Midnight Ridazz. I wonder how the girls/women that go on the rides feel about these threads, both the one calling women to arms and the one deprecating the original one.
