This past Saturday night at TOW (towards the end of bike porn) someone accidentally backed into Daniel's bike on their way out in their car. A few other ridazz witnessed the car backing up into his bike... they said they heard a bump and the car paused for a sec... then drove off- maybe not knowing that they had bent someone's top tube in half :(

As well, a brooks saddle was stolen from his bike after it had been bent- the ridazz who saw the car leaving said the saddle was still on when the car hit it.

The ridazz who witnessed it didn't know that the bike had been damaged until later when I noticed the missing saddle and fubar top tube- they just saw the car back up and heard an audible bump but nothing crazy. They said it was a small silver 2 or 4 door honda or something, they don't remember exactly what kinda car it was. It was parked just outside of the front doorway until leaving at maybe 11 or 12 - not sure

Anyway it's a fellow ridazz' bike, so if anyone knows who was parked there or how to get in contact with them, it would be great if they would do the right thing and contact me at jonnyb0y (at) me (dot) com or send me a message on facebook or something to keep things private. Even if you just have info to share and you're not the person who did it- it would be a big help which would mean a very happy Daniel.

There is also some footage from Chicken Leather who was video taping the event that we are looking into-- because the car was parked right out in front there is a very good chance of finding a license plate number if need be, but we'd rather not have to go to those lengths! It would just be an awesome gesture to see Daniel riding again soon.

if your buddy loves this frame, it might be reparable... S and S couplings...are designed to make a bike able to be taken apart...but it might also be able to bridge the area which was crunched...they're not cheap though, but an alternative...
