My bike was stolen from my living room this morning between 5am and 9am while I was asleep in my bedroom. I live at 24th and Hoover near USC.
Bike:
-58cm Masi Speciale Sprint powdercoated silver sparkle
- converted campy centaur 170mm road cranks with a 46t Miche chainring
- purple machined Deep Vs laced to blue anodized soma hubs
- campy centaur front brake
- silver nitto drops with cut black ourys
- mks streams w white pake straps
- black no-name saddle
I put untold amounts of time and work into this bike, it's my only form of transportation, and i'm completely distraught about it. If you have ANY information as to its whereabouts, I will be eternally grateful.

They broke into your house?
Do we have to start locking bikes up in our own apartments? Christ whats the deal here?

Hillary?! WTF Happened?! How did they steal your bike? Was it U-locked? I know you have finals and are pretty worn out, but this sucks.

Thanks for your responses you guys. Every door and window was locked, and two of us were home asleep at the time. apparently they forced open the window and left out the back door. I live just north of USC, and this was our SECOND break-in in the last two months... last time my laptop, ipod, speakers, and backpack were stolen, but I was ok because i still had my bike. This time just feels like the ultimate violation. I think you guys can understand the sentimental value this bike had and how upset and angry I am right now.
I've posted this up on LAfixed, facebook, and my LBS, any other recommendations of where to search? I'm not holding out much hope but I'd be thrilled to recover anything at this point.

If this is the second time you've had a home invasion robbery, it may be time to move. Holy cow.
Good grief. Make sure you file a police report. Burglaries with residents in the home are taken a lot more seriously.

That sucks. You did everything right having your bike in a secure place.
Sounds like USC area has some serial burglars.
Its probably the same people going back to the same places they robbed before.

LIKE I SAID, "DID YOU USE A CABLE LOCK?"
( COMES A TIME WHEN WE HAVE TO LOCK OUR BIKES UP INSIDE OUR OWN PADS )
I WAS TALKING TO A RIDA ABOUT A YEAR AGO THAT THIS WAS ACTUALLY GOING TO HAPPEN, AND HOLA, IT HAS, SHIT.

So sorry to hear about your bike. Invest in a couple of door alarms from home depot. you put them on the handle of your door or window when you go to bed turn em on. Oh and get a shotgun. Big 5 usually has nice models from mossberg or remington, usually in the range from $180-$350.
(use birdshot in the shotgun, so you dont penetrate the neighbors walls)
These are some of the necessities for living in South Central L.A.
Invest in home security, or get jacked.
Thank god you are still alive.

24th and Hoover huh?
Is it a yellow house?
My ex lived over in that area when we were in school.
You know, I think that by law, your landlord should have placed bars on the windows after the first break in. Although, of course it is not the first in that house, I am sure, but the first for you guys.
I am glad you're okay though. Scary stuff. Best of luck with the bike.
