I guess you can call it a red balloon....
June 28th, 2008 - Cruzz With Us "Beach Party Ride"
Probably one of the funnest nights I've had riding with you people...
It was me, Eric Hair, Jared Hungerford, Richie, and I think someone else...
We were riding down 4th st. from Eric's house to the Metro Station...We saw this HUGE red ball in the sky above an apartment building advertising rentals..attached by rope ABOUT 500 ft. in the air.........Richie disappeared for a bit... and then all of a sudden...we see the ball lowering from the sky slowly....then Richie is seen trying to push this approx. 15 ft. ball down a stairwell and he can't fit thru with it....he was laughing too much to even concentrate...and a few tenants tried to get into the stairwell...
finally we get going with this huge ball trailing us on bikes and we're inside a Metro station and over the loud speaker we hear "you with the red ball...please return to street level" or some shit like that basically saying we can't take it on the train.
then we're outside on the street and we're trying to let the air out of it...jumping on top of it and bouncing off it like the wwf doing a body slam. it was so fucking funny...
then the cops show up for whatever reason and take richie's name down cuz we think there was a call in about bikes carrying this monstrosity thru town....luckily there wasn't a call into the cops for the stolen ball as it would have been a felony if it was worth over $500....
anyhow, we were all cracking up about this thing and we brought it to the ride.
I guess you had to be there.... fuck off!!!

extra ridiculous was trying to inflate the thing later that night in the valley. the air hose at the gas station wasn't working, 'cause that's high pressure low volume; so we decided what we really needed was low pressure high volume..........................like a car's exhaust, so richie got some nice folks at the gas station to let him hold the balloon to their exhaust, I think he may have even asked them to rev it, lol.

I believe that "fight" was actually due to a dude on the ride getting riled up by another dude who had hit on his girlfriend.
Many thought it was some misdirected road-rage, but the above was the real case.
Ah, the twisted, unidentifiable drama of the classic rides.
