On the 16th we may also be able to swing by a neighbor of mines debut weekly wednesday comedy club in downtown. They might be able to have a biker friendly (bring bikes inside) happy hour at a bar nearby for an afterparty... we'll play it by ear.

so a neighbor of mine, martin, is starting a weekly wednesday comedy club called
wild wednesdays here in downtown, and will be going on before the
momsey. let's go see what up. there should be a bicycle friendly, store bikes inside, happy hour nearby also.

drooby is gonna stay down and do the ride at the smokehouse
a few of us are gonna take the train up to North Hollywood for Barchopz. tentatively meeting at Pershing Square around 8:00pm? and riding up. otherwise see you at the chopz.

Momz haven't been to the valley in a year, and that's when you guys got hassled, and that was thanks to the shenanigans that occurred just a few days earlier with valley ridazz and some blatant shoplifting (the culprits have since NOT returned to any valley rides, believe it or not!). Once that passed, the only trouble we've ever had in the valley was them telling us to GTFO of a parking structure after we spent, like 3 drunken hours there. 3 hours anywhere = trouble.
I take issue with the bad PR on the valley since, from my experience of riding all over, ridazz have gotten more shit from PD in DTLA., Hollywood, WeHo, and Santa Monica (being chased by cops on SMCM and making a zillion turns to lose them) on a regular basis than in the valley.
I'm sorry you had a bad time in the 818, but get over it already.

Well first off your wrong. The MoMz have been out to the valley a few times since that incident. im sure that you will agree that i go on more MoM rides than you so i have a better handle on what we do and where we go..
You should relax and stop trying make the valley look like the mecca of F.U.N.
One thing i do like about the valley is that its relativley FLAT.....

as far as dtla those cops never actually do anything to you just yell so whateva
in case none of you noticed we wear big pot leaves on our backs, so i dont like to take moms places where cops have nothing better to do than harrass cyclists...

i and some of the other o.g. moms would come rep..im not sayin every time, but sometimes...
and for the record when ijunes was in charge i was asked not to come for a long time because of political drama that is long since past

i'd be riding on a tube with 3 patches and nick has a flat,
i don't know how are we'd make it...
it's getting chilly outside and i'm all full of coffee so i dont know how comfy i would be riding tonight anyways.
i can't afford a tube right now, i know pathetic, but i'm broke, no joke!

Just be aware that Spring and N Spring are not continuous, that threw me off the first time.... it's starts up again a block away.
Also if you guys want to meetup before hand, I will be at 5th/Spring at 8:00 to 10:00 for this comedy club, it's just south on the west side of the street. They have tables out front to hang out, and plenty of seating inside too. It's inside F Square Printing, and there is no cover, last time I ended up with a gratis cupcake from bigmans.

Yup my first momsey ride as well and i loved it, but i had to bounce when we stopped at Ralphs. That hill at downtown was the shit. Also met one of the MOM Riders when i arrived early with my cousin.

Louisiana got a ticket for running a red, no helmet, and wrong way tonight.
Most of it will probably get thrown out, but it's still gonna turn into a huge pain in the ass from court fees and all that.
Great ride though, that was fun taking all those pictures.

Yeah we had a few issues with
GeoBeagle, didn't take degree, minute, seconds for the coords, which I think was why you weren't getting the right spot. Not sure what was going on with mine because it didn't even show the right direction.... Also, having it mountable on your bike is really useful. Next time :)
