you know those little led lights that are super low profile and the rubber wraps around your seat post...what do you call those and where is the cheapest place in la to get em?
reply
these things are overpriced and stupid. save your money and buy a real light that a car can actually see.

I got a a pair from Chubby's Cruisers. They're 8 bucks each or you can get both the red and white set for $15. I just put some new lithium batteries in them and they're actually pretty bright.

I've got a pair of them and they are quite bright for its little size... great for backup. But... again not bright enough. I also bought these at DX. love that site.

Those lights are called hipster cysts and they are potentially life-threatening. Eats lots of greens to avoid them.

I'll say, the damned thing only lasted about 7 months for me, then water-damage or some other stupid shit knocked it out for good.
Right now I utilize a couple of Cateyes for front/back visibility.
Looking into getting one of those Niterider, Digital Trailrats for "blinding" purposes.
The Minewts are okay, but I want that floodlight power!!!

I'm confused as to why anyone would want "low profile" lights for their bike.

I'm just pissed that I always miss out on the good deals when I don't have money.
Then when I do have money, I'm either paying full-price, or priced out of the market altogether.

as stilline said... and i would have to agree. they are more "durable" than plastic lights. they don't fall off and if they hit the ground they don't pop open/break. but i don't know about this water damage business.
