He watched the US fall into economic collapse, show itself for the terrorist IT IS, and basically got everything he wanted. He loved every fucking minute of it.
And best of all? He went out in a "blaze of glory" so to speak. Like the martyr he wanted to be. He is loving it right now. He was probably happy as fuck when those soldiers busted in and shot him. I bet he welcomed them with open arms.
The best thing the US could have done would have been to ignore him. Let him fade into the shadows like he had already been doing. Let him die forgotten and unimportant. That would have been the best revenge against this man. Instead we gave him everything he ever wished for, and I'm pretty sure he died a happy man. And we have awakened more fire in the souls of those who followed him.
