isn't it time you took advantage of the benefits of being a broke crew member?
for a limited time only, you can become a lifetime member for the low low one time payment of $2,995.

Of all the the toy-haulers you see on the road, there's a good chance that only 5-10% of those people actually bought that shit outright, or collected it over the years.
Most of the time, it's the early-20 year old crowd with the 4-5 kids, late-model pickup and spotless, dirt-toys that baffle me.
They most likely have no higher-ed and most certainly either got rich parents, or more believably, construction-labor job with the promise of big-bucks, along with poor financial advice that now leads to their shit getting repo'd.
You should see all the used dealerships around here, they're literally swamped up the ass with those things.

the funny thing about being poor in LA is that more often than not, you get stuck between making payments or repairs on a car you can't afford. especially, in the valley, it's damn near impossible to get to a job when the busses run between 5 times a day in pacoima and once an hour on a lot of other streets. and don't get me wrong, i appreciate the red and orange line, but did they have to completely fuck the valley?
apparently so. consequently, on a given afternoon at the van nuys traffic court, the overwhelming majority of traffic tickets (id say over 90%) are illegal immigrants who get their cars impounded and have to pay a fine. i had a couple of arraignments at van nuys and the judges were very matter-of-fact that this is simply the cost of doing business for many illegal workers in LA.
but yeah, fuck those douchebags with their 12 foot tires.

move to the city my friend.. if you can
suburban sprawl was only possible with really cheap fuel and light traffic. now that we are faced with expensive fuel and traffic hell, we are being forced to live more efficiently in high density urban centers. our public transportation system will continue to improve as demand for it rises.

the shitty thing is, the valley is populated enough to be "the city."

the important factor is population density. by "the city" i was referring to the areas east of western and west of the 5. central la pretty much.
but yeah, some parts of the valley are pretty densely populated, and if it wasn't for the "housing collapse" they were expecting to really develop some areas like north hollywood.
